Thanks to a grant from the Adams County Community Foundation and a donation, the Berne Public Library has had Scene Savers digitize four 16mm films of the 1952 Berne Centennial celebration.

These silent historic documentaries show parades, activities, people, and more.

2016 marks the 200th birthday of Indiana’s statehood.  Begin celebrating our state’s birthday by viewing Berne’s 1952 centennial production in the Heritage Room!
 For more information, call 589-2809.

The Indiana State Library and the State Parks division of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources formed a partnership to provide one (1) annual park pass to each library system in Indiana.

- The park pass may be used by Berne resident library card holders to visit Indiana state parks in 2016.

- Berne Public Library will loan the pass for 1 week; there will be no holds, reserves, or renewals.

- There will be a late fee of $1 per day charged if not returned in one week; replacement fee for a lost pass will be $50.

- The 2016 park pass can be borrowed and returned at the library upstairs circulation desk.  Questions, call 589-2809.

This opportunity is in recognition of the Indiana State Parks system’s 100th year and is part of Indiana’s Bicentennial celebration.
